Alicia Extreme Dance Academy (AXDA) was established in 2007 in Canóvanas, Puerto Rico, as an educational institution dedicated to the development of the performing arts. The academy offers a wide range of dance programs and extracurricular arts-education activities, from very early childhood (about 1 year old) through youth and adult levels (over 55 years) — including beginner to pre-professional training.



Alicia Extreme Dance Academy proudly holds international affiliations with two prestigious organizations in the world of dance:

The Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) in London, England
The International Dance Council (CID), under UNESCO, in France
These affiliations reflect AXDA’s commitment to maintaining global standards of excellence in dance education. The academy is directed by Alicia M. Oliveras García, a Registered Teacher and Practical Teaching Supervisor of the RAD and a member of the International Dance Council (CID/UNESCO). Under her leadership, AXDA continues to inspire and train dancers with professionalism and artistic passion. AXDA is conveniently located on the upper level of the Caribbean Cinemas building.
